Robusta Coffee Pushes Higher, But Gains Seen Stalling -- Market Talk

Robusta coffee futures continue to climb, with Liffe's May contract up 1.3%
at $2,126/tonne. Concern over the effect that unfavorable weather conditions in Brazil could have on
its coffee crop continue to prop up prices of the bean, say analysts. Robusta's rally could stall
around current levels, however, as significant moves higher attract aggressive selling, says Kash
Kamal, a research analyst at Sucden Financial. "Support on the downside seems to be holding up well
with the 10-day moving average at $2,052/tonne providing immediate levels," he says. "Any breach of
immediate support could test previous congestion around $2,000/tonne."
