Brazil Crop Concerns Heats Up Coffee Market Arabica coffee futures on ICE jump close to 3% on concernsthat late rains in Brazil's main coffee growing regions could delay the keyflowering ahead of the 2012-13 crop. "The delay of rain from now, onward,starts to represent some damage," says Guilherme Braga, director of theBrazilian Green Coffee Exporters Council. "If we don't have rain in the nextfour or five days, we could start to have some problems." Coffee for Decemberdelivery settles 2.9% higher on the day at $2.3440 a pound.
