A little light rain or drizzle lingered in the southeast areas early yesterday, dry elsewhere in the region. Temperatures averaged below normal through the southern areas yesterday, especially through the southwest but it near normal through the north. The lowest temperatures this morning are expected to range from 6-10C (43-50F) at about sunrise, coolest in southern SaoPaulo and southwestern Minas Gerais. FORECAST- TODAY...Mostly fair skies today. Temperatures should be a little warmer in the west and slightly cooler east. TONIGHT...Mostly dry. Not as cool as this morning. TOMORROW...Dry and a little warmer. OUTLOOK...Mostly dry or with only a few light showers through extreme southern areas Thursday through Saturday. Temperatures average near to below normal south, near to above normal north. BRAZIL COFFEE PROSPECTS... Favorable harvest weather for the coffee crop across Brazil. Cold temperatures in Parana Monday morning and again Tuesday morning were mostly south of key coffee in that state. Major coffee areas in Sao Paulo and Minas Gerais were not as cold. A new cold air mass will move into Argentina later this week and this weekend. This air mass is expected to stay south of Brazil'scoffee belt but it will bear watching.
