HANOI: Vietnam's domestic coffee prices fell to 31,000 dong ($1.47) per kg on Tuesday, the lowest since late October 2010, as the harvest of a bumper crop quickened, pushing down global robusta futures prices, traders said.
Prices in Daklak, Vietnam's top growing province, eased to 31,000-31,300 dong per kg, and are down 13 percent since the new crop year started on Oct. 1, based on provincial data.
The Liffe January contract closed down 2.5 percent on Monday at $1,500 per tonne, after touching $1,483, a contract low and the weakest level in over three years.
