Robusta Coffee Harvest Looking Good, Says Commerzbank -- Market Talk

Unlike arabica coffee, robusta is headed for a good harvest this year

thanks to good weather conditions in Vietnam, "and a sufficiently high price level to ensure that

plantations are properly tended," says Commerzbank in a note. Estimates for the crop are as high as

1.71 million tons, the same as 2013/14's record harvest. Commerzbank says it doesn't expect robusta

to hit the $2,000/ton mark again in the near future, above which robusta was trading at for most of

the time between March and July.
