Funds held long positions in ICE

Data from the CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission) released on Friday showed that the funds held long positions in coffee futures market of the New York Stock Exchange. Already outstanding contracts were stable compared to the previous week. According to figures presented, taking into account only the future positions, without options, the big funds had net long positions 34,124 (42,612 long positions - bought - and short positions 8488 - sold) last April 26. In the previous report regarding the April 19, they were dealing with 34,483 net long positions (41,405 long positions bought and sold short 6,922 positions). Commercial enterprises, recorded on 26, a net balance of 38,489 short positions (long positions 58,930 and 97,428 sold). In the previous report, they held 38,158 net short positions (long positions 60,110 and 98,268 sold). The smaller operators had, on Tuesday evening at ICE Futures U.S., a total of 4,377 net long positions, and 8,482 bought and sold 4108. In the report covering the April 19, in turn, they had net long positions 3675, 4524 and 8199 bought and sold. Open positions in the U.S. exchange were 116,698 lots on April 26, while the previous week they totaled 116,648 lots.
