Japan Coffee Demand Could Weaken Post-Quake -All Japan Coffee Association

Demand for coffee may weaken in Japan as last week's
devastating earthquake made urgent basic supplies a priority.
"Coffee is [a] nonessential beverage," Saeki Kunitoshi of the All Japan
Coffee Association, a Tokyo-based industry group, said in an interview. "They
want pure water first and foremost in the devastated area."
Japan was the world's third-largest coffee importer last year after the
United States and Germany, according to the International Coffee Organization.
